USCG Cutter Midgett Christening

With at least 200 past and current members of the Coast Gaurd being Midgetts, it is undoubtedly expected to have named a ship after the iconic name. Midgett (WMSL 757) is a National Security Cutter named in honor of John Allen Midgett. See the video below of the Christening and hear the story of the Mirlo rescue lead by John Allen.
