- USCG Auxiliary will have an information booth throughout the morning, along with Sammy the Sea Otter and Coastie the Tugboat!
9:30 AM
- D. Christian Thompson will give a porch talk about research and restoration of the 1874 Station
11:00 AM
- Kevin Duffus will present “Unheralded Heroes: The Cape Fear Life-Savers of 1893” at the RWS Community Building across from the lifesaving station
12:15 PM
- Enjoy a great lunch on one of our picnic benches from one of the on-site Food Trucks or feel free to bring your own picnic lunch.
1:15 PM
- Beach Apparatus Drill – Let our re-enactment volunteers wow you with a historically accurate rescue drill practice. Maybe your child will be selected to be “rescued”!
2:30 PM – 4:00 PM
- M/C Carl Smith CDR USCG (ret) will discuss USCG history
- Presentation of Colors by Camden HS USCG Jr ROTC
- National Anthem sung by Caitlyn Grey
- Master Chief Christopher Hinote (The USCG Ancient Keeper)
- NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Education Curator Ben Wunderly
- Additional Speakers will include representatives of the National Park Service, the USCG, and descendants of early surfmen
- USCG will conduct a Flyover during the afternoon

- Tolling of the Bell ends today’s program.

- Hot Breakfast at the RWS Community Building, entry fee required

- Chicamacomico lifesaving station opens for Tours
- USCG Auxiliary will have an information booth throughout the morning, along with Sammy the Sea Otter and Coastie the Tugboat!
- Additional USCG displays are planned but not quite confirmed for the morning (Static Display of Helicopter, SAR demonstration) along with an Ocean Rescue demonstration by our local water rescue unit.
