BREECHES BOUY REENACTMENT AT CHICAMACOMICO HISTORIC M– USEUM

Widely known for its rich history of saving souls in peril from the sea the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station, for many years, conducted a Reenactment of the beach apparatus rescue drill. The drill was recognized as an integral part of the Life-Saving Service and early Coast Guard along our shores. We are pleased to again offer the opportunity for the public to witness this life saving technique as it was conducted from the Civil War until the 1950s.

This public demonstration is now back!

The Chicamacomico Historic Association is pleased to announce the drill will be conducted on Thursdays at 2 p.m. beginning July 6th through Labor Day week.

WE ARE LOCATED AT 23645 NC HWY 12, IN THE VILLAGE OF RODANTHE ON HATTERAS ISLAND, NC
