“The Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station is a wonderful historic site that gives tons of information about an overlooked group of men: the members of the US Life-Saving Services who risked their lives to rescue travelers in peril on the North Carolina Coast. Go and Learn about these brave men!!”

Great thing to do while at the Outer Banks. I learned a lot about the origins of the coast guard here plus magnificent rescues. The Tower was a great experience and will be remembered. Lots of information and hands-on exhibits in different buildings. Interesting to see the actual artifacts talked about in the museum located on the property.
